I am not comfortable with unprofessionalism when it comes to a very expensive procedure. After asking for her Supervisor, she put me on hold and checked with the tech (which she should have done in the first place) and THEN said it was ok to book the appt. Instead of this office staffer checking with her techs, she argued that it was their policy. They were baffled at the request as my doctor is a neuro surgeon and would not have sent me to get an MRI if there was any problem. I called my doctor's office that sent the referral. I told her it was titanium and that I have had numerous MRI's of the same area with no problem. Then, when I called them back to schedule my appointment, they would not let me make an appointment without some serial number of the plate that is in the back of my neck from a prior surgery. They left a message on my voicemail that was hurried and unclear.
